Note: Can you believe how beautiful those floors are? Just sanded them and put on three coats of polyurethane. I love uncovering beauty.

The room looks so bright and shiny now. Love the new built-ins. Adds loads of charm. You guys really do beautiful work.
There is not a lot of room in the angled bedrooms for furniture, so the built-ins really help. Of course, if you read the comments, the family managed to squeeze 6 kids in these bedrooms. I love it!
Amazing job! I’m loving this.
What fun to get comments from people who “grew up” with this house. I went back and read a few. That has to make it very rewarding. When you are finished let me know and I will have to call you and get the addresss so I can stop by for a tour sometime.
I love, love, love hearing all the stories about growing up in the house. Let me know when you want to see it. We are all finished with the rehab.
This was my bedroom during the teen-age years. You have certainly transformed it! There were six of us children growing up here. Before the addition was put on, my parents had this room. My two oldest sisters shared the small bedroom facing the street, when they moved out, my next oldest sister Carol had that bedroom. The attic bedroom was shared by me and my younger sister Dolores, and by the single window in that bedroom my brother had a bed. After the addition, my parents moved to the additional bedroom by the bathroom, and my brother took over the attic bedroom. Me and my sister Dolores then shared the bedroom you are showing here. After my brother moved out, Dolores got the attic bedroom all to herself, and I got this bedroom for myself. Certainly brings back memories. It looks wonderful.
Holy smokes, 6 kids?! I am so impressed you all fit, especially the two girls in that small front bedroom. What wonderful memories you all made at the house. I can tell it was filled with love.
Great transformation!!
Thanks, Angie.
this looks great-i have many an angled wall, and i keep trying to get my boyfriend to make us some builtins. perhaps i’ll show him this….lovely!
We’ve done a lot with angled walls. You can choose cabinet doors pictured in this post. We’ve also installed drawers or drawer/cabinet combos. So many fun choices! Hand that boyfriend a drill.
